Pauline Schopfer was born in 1992.
Pauline started to dance at the age of 7 with Brigitte Roman.
She continued her training in Geneva with Geneviève Chaussat, where she completed her grade 5 exam with distinction, in Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in 2003. In 2004 she passed Intermediate Foundation with distinction.
In 2007, Pauline was accepted into the AFJD where she finished her school studies.
In 2008, she was accepted into ‘ l’Ecole Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower (France)’ under the direction of Monique Loudières, and afterwards Paola Cantalupo.
During those three years, she trained with a number of international teachers which was a contribution to her bachelor.
It was in 2011, she received her E.A.T (Examen d’Aptitude Technique), and U.V (Unités de Valeur) in dance and music history.The same year, she received a bachelor in economics and social science with Honours. She was notably selected for the 20/20 notes for the tests in the sport and dance art options.
In September 2011, she joined the European Ballet as an apprentice, under the direction of Stanislav Tchassov. She participated in a number of shows including the Nutcracker and Coppélia
In 2011, she continued her training with the Igokat Center in Lausanne under the directorship of Igor Piovano and Kathryn Bradney (ex-principal dancers of Béjart Ballet Lausanne) where she danced soloist roles in the performance «Chatouille» and «Alice au Pays des Merveilles» in 2014.
In August 2012, she worked with the Organon company and danced as a soloist in the theatre piece Pygmalion, performing the role of the statue Galathée (staging Simone Audemars). Afterwards, at the end of the year, she danced with the Tanztheaterpasiòn company under the directorship of Noelle Kuhn. The project, called Begegnungen, was presented over three weeks consecutively in Coire (Grisons, Suisse).
In 2013, she participated in an new Orotario « Elie », taken from the book of Kings. The music was composed by Olivier Rossel where it was a mix of dance, music and singing. Pauline worked in collaboration with two other dancers to create the choreography. The group performed all around Switzerland and in France.
During 2013, she taught ballet, modern and stretching at the Igokat Center in Lausanne.
In October, she danced as a soloist with the Igokat Company in « Give & Take » at l’Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
In November 2013, she danced as a soloist with the Octavio de la Roza company in « Voulez-vous danser Gainsbourg » in Avignon (France).
In December 2013, she danced as a soloist with Igokat Company in extracts of their « Give & Take » for the re-opening of the olympic Museum in Lasaunne.
In August 2014, she became a ballet mistress for «Jeunesse & Sport» Suisse for the students in the gymnastic and dance categories
In October and December 2014, she danced as a soloist with the Igokat Company in «Vouloir c’est Pouvoir» at l’Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.
She is currently a teacher at the Igokat Academy of Dance, a soloist dancer with the Igokat Company as well as a free-lance teacher and dancer.
