Pauline Schopfer

Pauline CVPauline Schopfer was born in 1992 in Lausanne and discovered dance at 7 years old with Brigitte Roman.

She continued her dance studies in Geneva with Geneviève Chaussat and she obtained the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ‘Level V’ diploma with distinction in 2003 and the ‘Intermediate Foundation’ with distinction in 2004.

In 2007, Pauline was accepted in the AFJD dance school.

In 2008, she was accepted by audition in the Rosella Hightower International Dance School (France), under the direction of Monique Loudières.

During 3 years, she studied with many internationally renown teachers and passed her high school diploma (baccalauréat).

In 2011, she obtained her E.A.T (Examen d’Aptitude Technique), U.V (Unités de Valeur) in dance history and music. In that same year, she succeeded her diploma in Economic and Social sciences with mention. Notably, she earned the grades 20/20 in sports and art dance.

In September 2011, she was hired as an apprentice in the London European Ballet, under the direction of Stanislav Tchassov. She danced in many performances, especially the Nutcracker and Coppelia.

En 2011, she continued her studies at the Centre Igokat in Lausanne under the direction of Kathryn Bradney and Igor Piovano (ex-principal dancers and ballet masters of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne). She then danced as a soloist in the Igokat’s performances ‘Chatouille’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland in 2014’.

In August 2012, she worked with the Organon Company and is a soloist dancer in the theater piece Pygmalion as the role of the Galathée statue (produced by Simone Audemars).

She danced with the Company Tanztheaterpasiòn under the direction of  Noelle Kuhn. The project is called ‘Begegnungen’ and is presented in Chur Switzerland.

In 2013, she danced in the Oratorio ‘Elie’, taken from the King’s books. The music is composed by Olivier Rossel and mixes dance, music and singing. Pauline worked with 2 other dancers to create the choreographies. The troup performed in all of the Romandie part of Switzerland and in France.

Since 2013, she is a classical ballet, modern and stretching teacher for the Centre Igokat in Lausanne.

In October 2013, she was a soloist dancer with the Company Igokat in ‘Give & Take’ at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.

In November 2013, she was a soloist dancer with the Octavio de la Roza Company in ‘Voulez-vous danser Gainsbourg?’ in Avignon (France).

In December 2013, she was a soloist dancer with the Company Igokat in ‘Give & Take’ for the reopening of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

In August 2014, she became a Monitor for ‘Youth & Sport’ Switzerland in the Gymnastic and Dance discipline.

In October and November 2014, she was a solist dancer with the Company Igokat in ‘Vouloir c’est Pouvoir’ at the Espace Culturel des Terreaux in Lausanne.

She is currently a soloist dancer with the Company Igokat, teacher at the Igokat Dance Academy as well as a free-lance teacher and dancer.
